SUCCESSFUL GREBE PLATFORMS BROUGHT IN FOR STORAGE AND MAINTENANCE BY FOSS VOLUNTEERS

Yesterday, Brian Keaveney and his son Matthew took in the Grebe platforms from the yacht club basin. There are 4. Three Brian made and one Joe made. They were being used by Cormorants to sit on and dry their wings. The smell of the platforms is incredible. One had a dead cormorant on it. All you can tell had nests on them.

They were left to dry-out in a back corner at the club. They will need cleaning and repair but are for the most part all together.
